REVIEW ALBUM HEAVY METAL TO THE VEIN BY BLIZZARD HUNTER

Blizzard hunter started in 2006 in Peru as Blizzard, releasing one demo in 2011 but soon to change name to Blizzard hunter from 2014, forging their first EP followed by this first full length Heavy metal to the vein.

Blizzard hunter combines a straight forward power metal with old school speed metal with changing rhythms and complex creations, guitars work fast and effective, melting hard rocking melodies into progressive feelings, really well harmonized with the rest of the band, vocals develop a mainly high pitched and clean style, being in control of every note, drawing a large range from mid, sharp and aggressive to powerful and ultra high pitched screams.

Conqueror of destiny is a good example of instrumental sign of the band as I'm on my way explodes In a headbanging shot, awesome voice and really well composed being on of the highlights of the album.

Heavy metal to the vein kicks in with some reminiscences of US metal, very well played on the vocals creating epic melodies and developing a good interpretation, followed by heart of fire (vampire hunter song), this one my friends is one of those tracks that are considered masterpiece, note the perfect mixture between Queensrÿche, iron maiden and US metal, the glorious virtue that Metal Inquisitor was successful is made as standard for blizzard hunter, it will call the attention of the listener to play again and again.

Nemesis (feel my strength) is where you can feel how wide can be the vocal range of this guy, as a mid fast tempo track goes from sharp mid pitched and very well played voice, on the line of Bruce Dickinson, but going beyond with clean and ultra high pitched scream "feel my strength", instrumentals works in harmony and demonstrates good palm muted and technical sections remembering those guitar duels by Tipton and downing from Judas priest; worked effectively with double pedal on drums.

Ghost Rider starts a bit as a break and more relaxed anthem with some more melodic and epic hints but going in crescendo with a enjoyable instrumental and addictive chorus, as the murder bangs like a pure old school true metal with even some doom drippings on the verses, another highlight of the band's sound, linked with My revenge, forging classic speed thrash metal feelings, ready to break your necks showing the aggressive side of the band with clear Tyran Pace influence on the vocals, one of the best of the album.

Following the speed pace The Joke bangs like a sudden speed metal attack, all you know you'll find yourself banging your head, remarkable instrumental performance all over and leading to the last track The final judgement, absolutely amazing job on the bass and overwhelming galloping riffs with good details on the drums performance as the vocals follow a relaxed but powerful melodic line.

What a great surprise with this debut album by Blizzard hunter, definitely the band did an awesome job, managing a really professional sound with an excellent production, every

member's performance is absolutely virtuous, if you are fan of Judas priest, Queensrÿche or iron maiden, (on the level of bands like Striker, Alltheniko or Air Raid) this will be a must have album!

INTERVIEW WITH COBRA (2015)

Few weeks ago I had the chance to interview Cobra, one of the new true metal bands that called my attention as one of the most promising new bands of the metal scene worldwide, so after having a well established second album and having toured Europe, it was an inflection point in their career to the top, and obviously Metalheads Union is not gonna miss the opportunity of having a chat with these guys.

Hi guys how are you? Thank you all for your time!

Hi Daniel, nice to be in contact again. Thanks for your interest in making a second interview to us.

First of all how were the band beginnings? Why did you choose Cobra as your band's name?

Cobra was born ten years ago back in 2005 when Nito and Pochuck decided to create and play heavy metal band in a rough and aggressive way. They chose Cobra as the name of the band because of an old anime they use to watch as kids. Cobra is a lethal name, such as our intentions with rock and roll music.

Have Cobra evolved in any way from the first album to the second album? How could you describe the media feedback for both releases?

Definitely. Cobra evolved in creating a solid album of heavy metal. This means not only having good songs, but delivering a unity of heavy metal: music, lyrics, artwork, ideas, and put together in order to have a blasting experience once you put play to the record.

When “Lethal Strike” was released in 2011, it didn’t have very much media attention as “To Hell” did last year and even nowadays did. The difference was that our first album had a poor promotion and distribution work. Now we are very conscious about the results of working those aspects of an album release.

You got a very aggressive style even when adding that strong hard rock drippings, how could you describe the band's style and what makes it different of most of the new traditional heavy metal bands?

Thanks for the words. I could define Cobra’s style as a very intense heavy metal rock and roll music. About what makes us different between these new traditional bands, we don’t even consider ourselves part of these tag. We are only focused about been ourselves playing the kind of music we like. We don’t want to be like the bands we admire, we want to be as relevant as them with our music.

Which bands are the most influent for you? I'd like to know your individual preferences.

I like artists that are intense with the music they make. The ones that comes to my mind right now would be Earth, The Stooges, Nirvana, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, The Wailers and Led Zeppelin.

How is the true metal scene in Peru? Now that you played in Keep it true, how do you feel about it? How did the fans react to your sound?

Peruvian metal scene is small, very underground if it’s compared to the European one. Our scene is very unorganized and informal but things are changing to better. Here the concerts are with bands of different metal styles, so it’s common for bands and bangers from here to be into heavy, black, death, doom or even psych and punk music.

Keep It True was a great experience. We never had that sensation to play in front of so many die hard heavy metal maniacs. People there really knows what metal music is about, I think they reacted very well, they could get the vibe and intention of the band. After playing there, I only want more of this.

The vocals that you do are really high pitched some times, changing from sharp to clean patterns, how do you manage to keep your voice while on tour?

I try to avoid cold drinks, smoke and cover always my neck during the tour. Although it’s enjoyable to be on the road having a good time, the best thing is always take care of your instrument.

Tell me a special memory of this European tour.

Waking up during different moments of the day and night inside the van while everyone else was sleeping. Looking at the other guys, our tour manager, the highway, the scenery and realizing that everything was real, that was actually happening. Living like that was everything I ever wanted, it was a great feeling.

Are you working on the new album? If so, could you anticipate any information? What could the fans expect for the next full length?

Right now we are writing and creating new songs. We already know which songs will be part of our third album, but now we are working in two different productions. I hope soon we can have more news about it.

Any chance to visit the UK? What about Japan? If you could choose a country to play, which one could it be?

Actually, we received a couple of offers to visit UK but distances didn’t match to go there. After the European tour we made contact with people involved in festivals and stuff not only in Europe but also in Asia, so let’s make things happen.

If I could choose a country I would like to play in Japan, like Deep Purple did in 1972.

Finally guys could you send a message to your fans?

Beware to our next move, it might be lethal for your mind.

REVIEW OF THE ALBUM RAPTURE AND WRATH BY TRAUMA (27/02/15)

Trauma is a power speed metal band from San Francisco formed in 1981 being well known being Cliff Burton in the band before joining Metallica; Trauma released one album in 1984, Scratch and scream, and then split to be reformed in 2013.

Now Trauma is back! And the imminent album Rapture and wrath is coming the next 27th February 2015 (pure steel records) as a full demonstration of renovated energies since their last work 30 years ago, US pure heavy metal with bay area influences and drippings of Dio meeting Iron Maiden, they were considered into speed metal before but in this album the rhythms are predominantly slow mixed with mid to fast tempo, so heavy - power metal could be the band style precisely, add the exceptional quality of the vocals, high pitched and clean techniques denoting also excellent theatrical parts, and guitars are sharp and well harmonised with drums and bass, showing some technical sections here and there.

Heart of stone Opens the album, and what a song! Fast paced true metal in every chord, one of the highlights of the album that will make you bang your head right away, remarkable chorus with long vocal notes under the speed pounding drumbeats, followed by When I die, as another mid fast injection of heavy metal with drippings of us epic metal, good contrast between verses and bridge and truly intense chorus, vocal parts are great and reminds some Bruce Dickinson influence mostly in the chorus.

The long way home is created as a mid tempo ballad, with a well composed ascending structure that make it really intense, as the dark melodies of Pain start, with a slow to mid paced shot of doom metal influences with Judas Priest memories on the guitar notes, the changes of rhythms are great on the instrumental galloping sounds and the vocal lows and highs.

The walking dead also reminds the dark side of the band as they forge pure doom melodies and transform it in another classic heavy metal mid tempo chorus, as Kingdom come explodes in one of the best tracks of the album, the vocal interpretation is exceptional as the intensity goes and comes from verses to bridge and chorus continuing with Egypt as a good track with oriental drippings on the vocal parts and strong riffs, awesome composition accelerated by the next shot, Under the lights, speed heavy metal with US metal melodies creating awesome rhythm changes that will make you bang your head following the action to Don't tread on me, one of the best interpreted tracks of the album, the vocal parts and guitar melodies herald also hard rock influences, as the last track, Too Late bangs with strong and heavy mid fast tempo riffs, with good details on the guitar backgrounds and drum performance.

Trauma are reborn in this album denoting a young feeling energy in every song, some of them are brilliant, heart of stone and when I die definitely are the best cuts of the band, losing grip as the album continues but catching the listener attention at the end with good theatrical interpretations and excellent compositions.

Overall Trauma forged a good album, not at the level of other young bands of the NWOTHM but as a return from the darkness, it's an excellent point of entry.

REVIEW OF THE ALBUM SOLDIERS OF TIME BY NIGHT (2/3/15)

Night are a classic heavy metal band from Sweden formed in 2011 and released two singles in 2012 and 2013 followed by the full length Night, released in November 2013 via Gaphals records.Now Night are due to release their new album the next 2nd March, Soldiers of time, over a year after their debut album that was considered a true metal gem.

Having the chance to listen and analyse the new work of these guys, I can confirm there is an evolution in the sound, now the tracks are better composed, the content of the lyrics are much better and totally deep and intense, denoting the band have worked harder this time. On the other side there is not many songs as wild and direct as Gunpowder treason or Fire and Steel, as I said before, Night experimented more this time, even taking drippings of power metal and of course keeping the old school sound.

The album starts with the vocal choirs introducing waiting for the time, a totally epic entry with an excellent crescendo structure from the solo vocal part verses ascending to a catchy chorus, where the guitars draw good melodies, really good progression as we continue with Across the ocean, more direct shot of old school heavy metal, awesome riffs and harmony between guitar and vocal evolution across the song, also remarkable transition on bridge to chorus.

We're not born to walk away heralds another headbanging mid tempo shot, stronger rhythm now and also the message, forged to lift you up and turn the volume louder, as Above the ground continues the act reminding some tunes of their first job, also with excellent evolution from the verses to bridge and chorus, simple and effective, linking the action to the acoustic track Towards the sky, mid tempo anthem full of feelings, the vocalist does a really good job here as he manage to express the message In perfect harmony with the instrumentals.

Secret war rise the fires of hell with headbanging action in a mid tempo rhythm with strong drumbeats and very straight verses, like Kings and Queens accelerates the pace to the kinds of the speed power metal by Gamma Ray meeting Judas Priest, one of the best true metal shots of the band, the power of the verses is restless as they ascend the intensity leading to one of the best details, the asking and answering duo of vocals and guitars, just outstanding.

Ride on is next, made to be another anthem of those to be played repeatedly, the melodies are great and so the chorus, intense and catchy sign of the band's style, continuing with the soft acoustic intro Wonderlust that explodes in another highlight of true nwothm, Power, straight and strong track that will feed your hunger of true classic heavy metal.

Stars in the sky is the last track, being an acoustic ballad, and despite the fact that is slow and almost without drum, the intensity and power that this track spread with the melodies and lyrics is deserved to be included in the best of the year, the melodies will be stuck in your head as the message will find the space to melt in your soul, guys this is a masterpiece.

It's very important for a band, even if it's a new band, to experiment new stuff, knowing there is always a risk, and these guys really went for it and succeeded, Continuing the true metal path, and adding more feelings to the mixture, Managing a more professional sound overall with improved compositions, now Night will be one step forward towards the first line of nwothm, will be within the best albums of this year already!

REVIEW OF THE ALBUM THEY RISE BY RUTHLESS (30/1/15)

Ruthless finally are releasing their first studio album after their Discipline of steel in 1986, the album under the name "They rise" will come to light the next 30th January via Pure steel records.

The US power metal developed by Ruthless is well considered authentic and true heavy metal, giving gems likeMetal Without Mercy or Discipline of steel to the world, generally enjoyed by true metalheads with a good knowledge of genuine metal bands on the line of Omen, Liege lord or Jag Panzer.

This new album brings lots of reminiscences from their previous albums, true straightforward US metal, this time the band developed some slightly more modern melodies here and there, also introducing that strong Teutonic drippings seen on Accept or Grave Digger, also remark the vocal qualities after so long time, now are cleaner but still aggressive, and about of the drums, now they sound cleaner and better produced than before, but not as thunderous and powerful as their 80s albums.

The album start with one of the best shots, Defender, very much on the line of Steeler by Judas Priest on the riffs, the clean vocals are really good performed, Introducing mid to high pitched parts leading to a really catchy chorus, headbanging entry linked with Laceration, mid tempo bomb of true metal, the addictive main riff is leaded by a good vocal composition, ascending intensity with the pure sign of the band, combining clean and sharp vocal techniques with added excellent drum shots.

The tittle track They rise, comes as a slow paced shot with epic doom metal essence, vocals offer a great theatrical interpretation full of power, the structure could remind the listener to Kiss of the death by Metal Church, equally intense and well composed as the riffs of Circle of trust arises, on the line of Jag Panzer, interesting track with a good progression and excellent harmony between vocals and riffs, not in their best of though, as the aggressive speed metal of Hang man take you to the mosh pit, the intensity here is outstanding, vocal performance is from the best of the album, sharp forceful mid high pitched style like the old times; the rhythms are also breathtaking as It changes between verses and chorus, really well structured.

After this powerful demonstration its time for a slow one, the ballad Time waits, the vocal parts are really well played under the slow paced galloping bass background, linked with another headbanging mid fast bomb, Out of the ashes, very straight shot with the same strategy of fast verses and mid paced and intense chorus and remarkable guitar solo.

One of the highlights of the album is the track Frustration, heralds the power of the band in a fast thunderous drumbeats, the progression is overwhelming as the intensity ascends to a very catchy chorus, linking the action to the last song, Systematic terror, mid tempo track with a really strong pattern, leading to a powerful chorus to be screamed on the gigs, in crescendo to the end with nice high pitched details.

Ruthless open the gates of hell almost 30 years after their last album, with renovated energy creating an excellent album full of power and genuine US metal, obviously got some modern influences after all these years, and its not quite the same as the old times, but the truth is that They rise is riveting from start to finish, and tracks like Defender, Hang man or Frustration will delight their old fans and also will catch new metalheads that didn't know them yet, in fact I can say Ruthless forged another true metal masterpiece.

REVIEW OF THE EP ADRENALINE SHOT BY AMKEN

Amken is a thrash metal band formed in 2011 in Greece, releasing independently their first EP Adrenaline Shot on the 30th November 2014.

Amken style is genuine thrash metal, simple and straight to your brains, the harsh low to high pitched vocals are amazing and also the guitar-drums team play is really well composed to take you to the mosh pit right away; you will find that visceral thrash attack seen on Razor or Exodus.

Adrenaline shot bangs with the tittle track, straight headbanging and powerful wild style, the rhythms go mid and fast really effectively, linking with Zombie Pets in another breathtaking thrash missile, this time comprising more technical elements, with excellent vocal parts and special mention to the drum pounding blasts, including one of their best chorus and a highlight of the band's style.

The dark introduction of Nightmare leads to another in crescendo thrash shot, continuing the nonstop headbanging feeling with a good structure and remarkable melodic sharp vocal sections linking to the final track God's asleep, clearly their best act, introducing deeper and epic sensations to the mixture, the theatrical performance of the vocalist is outstanding, the bass sounds bloody well, dirty and evil as hell as the thrash machinery evolves to a fast thrash symphony that will leave you hungry for more.

Amken brought to light their first Ep leaving a really good impression, their thrash is aggressive and effective, without being extremely technical this cut is wild and violent, showing that the weapons are ready to attack.

REVIEW OF THE ALBUM "FACING THE FALLOUT" BY SHADOWBANE (16/1/2015)

Shadowbane is a power metal band from Germany formed in 2007 and releasing only their demo Dystopia independently in 2010,becoming a really promising band, and now ready to conquer Europe with their upcoming album Facing the Fallout, due to be release next 16th of January of 2015 via Pure Steel Records.

Shadowbane breath from the flames of the authentic heavy-speed metal mixing German and US power metal effectively, having similarities with bands like Accept, Helloween or Grave digger combined with epic Manilla Road or Queensrÿche, high pitched clean and sharp vocals, contrasting melody and powerful choruses with technical guitar riffs and fast pounding drumbeats.

The album opens with the Red alert instrumental apocalyptic shot linked to Beyond the winds of war, powerful heavy start on the line of Accept including palm muted and galloping riffs, changes of pace and good drum performances, but being eclipsed by Traitor, one of their best tracks, including some outstanding riffs and shreddings (remember the Spanish power metal band Avalanch riffs?) headbanging as hell with an excellent structure, better chorus, and remarkable guitar performance.

Under bleeding skies evolves in a straight high speed heavy metal shot with memories of Judas Priest, very well composed on the bridge and the slow paced chorus, special mention to the vocal work on the clean and sharp styles combining aggressive and melodic sections really well; continued by After the fallout, comprising a mid fast tempo pattern of pure US power metal, amazingly well composed and headbanging and coming back to the German Grave digger influence with Dystopia, totally addictive riffs and chorus, forging a memorable bridge.

Tears down the wall explodes like an authentic speed metal track with melodic power metal added to the mixture, the clean vocals are amazing here as the progression with the guitar shredding and the emphasizing drums create and endless headbanging anthem, linked with another highlight of the band style, Badlands law, mid fast shot with a chorus to be shouted on the gigs, drum and guitar structure reminding to the ram it down era of Judas Priest but keeping the powerful sign of the band.

Last division take the Teutonic riff style and mix it with the US power melodies to create a true masterpiece of sophisticated drum shots, epic guitar performances and outstanding bridge and chorus, to finalise with Source of Grief, accelerating the metal machine to a high speed pace; this last bomb combines very well the elements that Shadowbane have used before,rhythms changes, aggressive and frenetic powerful in crescendo verses that make you break your necks in a breathtaking pulse.

Shadowbane managed a really professional production forging an excellent work in every aspect, the album contains masterpieces like Traitor, Last Division or Source of grief being highlights of the album. Shadowbane will step forward to the top of the true power metal scene with Facing the Fallout.

INTERVIEW WITH KAMIL "MADNESS" FROM THUNDERWAR

The epic death metal band Thunderwar released their first EP Birth of Thunder last year 2013, getting global recognition and generally very positive feedback from the media (click here to read the review), and now they are getting ready for their first studio album that could come to light anytime in 2015.

Meanwhile I had the chance to interview the vocalist and bass master Kamil "Madness":

- Hi! It’s a pleasure to interview you so Thank you for taking the 

time.

Hail to England!

- Thunderwar is a new band that released its first EP in 2013, tell me 

the beginnings, how did you choose the name and how the band was formed?

It's a long and boring story. I will try to shorten it.  I’ve known Vit, 

the drummer for a long time. We both played in thrash metal band when we 

were kids. When our squad broke up, we decided to create new, heavier 

and more devilish pack. We were looking for good guitarists, who love 

death metal.

We met them by chance. I knew Olszak and Witold by sight from concerts. 

I didn't know that I will play with them in Thunderwar. They came to the 

rehearsal and they were delighted.  They had the experience and they 

were hungry for metal, just like me and Vit. From the start we were on 

the same page. Now we are true friends.  At the beginning we were called 

Perun, in the name of the pagan, Slavic God - Perun The Thunderer. Then 

we recorded the first single called "Eagle of Glory" - our metal 

interpretation of Polish national emblem. We changed the name because we 

wanted to be more understandable to foreigners and also still to refer 

to the old name. So now we are Thunderwar. Word formation at the level 

of a high school student, but we think it sounds cool.

- How long did it take to create the birth of thunder? Are you happy 

with the result?

First and foremost, EP "The Birth of Thunder" is just a remain of the 

first album that was never released. We chose the best tracks from 

rejected by us album, and this is the way how The Birth of Thunder 

appeared. We are happy with the result. People like it, we also like it. 

If that record came out in that shape back then, surely we wouldn't be 

in such good moods today.  That material really sucked. Not because 

compositions were weak. Sound and mixes were totally fucked. We had to 

rescue our stuff but only three tracks survived.  I think that the whole 

process of creating our debut took more than one year.

- How did the international media respond after the release of your 

first EP?

We owe the big response to our managers. They shipped the material 

wherever they could. The result is the increasing number of fans from 

all around the world, especially from USA, UK and Brazil.  It's fucking 

awesome when someone from the other end of the globe can hear and  

appreciate our blasphemous work.

- Could you describe the metal scene in Poland?

Poland is a powerful metal bastion. Every metal maniac should know bands 

like Vader, Behemoth or Decapitated. We are very proud of these bands. 

But our metal scene isn't only those three hordes. There is a fucking 

great underground scene in Poland. Most of these bands are just amazing. 

We played national tour with mighty Pandemonium, Hellspawn and Deep 

Desolation.  Unforgettable memories and well spent time.  Also we played 

with Azarath, powerful formation from Tczew. They went on tour with 

Morbid Angel in Poland. I can’t forget to mention our friends from 

Bestiality and Morthus, young bands with great potential and talent. I 

especially recommend you polish black metal bands like Furia, Mgła, 

Plaga, Morowe or Infernal War.

- The epic death metal style of Thunderwar is really well composed and 

performed, what are your influences?

Thanks! It is hard to say. We listen to a lot of music. Blues, hard 

rock, heavy, thrash, death and black metal. It is our religion. But I 

think our greatest idols like Bathory, Dissection or Morbid Angel have 

the greatest impact on us. Of course, we always try to create our own 

climate. I think we succeeded, but people usually associate us with a 

mix of American and Swedish metal scene. Maybe they're god damn right.

- Are you preparing a full length? If so, how is the process going? 

Could you anticipate some details?

Actually we are recording a new album. Drums and guitars are done. Next 

step - bass and vocals.

Want some details? Hmm... Full album is going to be darker and more epic 

than "The Birth of Thunder". You won't be disappointed.

- Have you signed with any record label?

No, we haven't yet.

- Are there plans to tour Europe in the future?

There aren't any special plans for now. But when we are finally done 

with our LP, certainly we will think about conquering Europe.

- Which countries would you like to play?

We have never played abroad, so we’re going to be excited no matter 

which country it would be.

- You have shared stage with big names like Amon Amarth, which other 

bands have shared stage with Thunderwar?

We have also shared stage with such stars as Carcass, Obituary and 

Azarath. We hope the list will be much longer in the future!

- One of the bands you play with are Morthus, I see they share similar 

tastes, and also are a new band with one EP, do you know them? How is 

the relation with Morthus?

- Which bands would you like to share stage in the future?

Hmm… tough question. I would love to play with pioneers of death and 

black metal, who motivate us to fight. I don't know, maybe Morbid Angel, 

Watain, Behemoth or Entombed?

- Tell me how do you remember your best moment on stage.

It was when we played before Carcass in Warsaw. The place was full, it 

was our first performance with such a large audience. When we played our 

death metal epos – Vimana: The Chariots in Heaven, I showed them horns 

from the stage.  Almost the entire audience responded with the same 

gesture. It was very meaningful and memorable moment for me. I was 

exhausted but it filled me with extraordinary energy and gave me 

strength for the rest of the show.

- Could you leave a message for your fans?

What can I say? Wait for new album, and be ready for freezing cold, and 

demonic blizzard, because The Thunderer doesn't show mercy!  Stay heavy.

REVIEW OF THE ALBUM LOBOTOMIZED BY BIOTOXIC WARFARE (19/01/2015)

Biotoxic Warfare is a thrash / death metal band from Heraklion (Greece), formed in 2012, and releasing their first EP Baptized in blood and greed in 2013 receiving positive feedback from the media. The band went to the studio in september 2014 to record their debut album, Lobotomized, due to be released the next 19th January 2015 and signed with Slaney Records,

Biotoxic warfare sound comes from the aggressive speed thrash metal taking influences from Exodus, Kreator to Slayer, including some thrashy Venom era style, guitar melodies are feed by pure death metal structures (memories from Death or Obituary) combined with oldschool thrash riffs, followed by a technically perfect drum style, mixing thrash and death rhythms continuously in the album; vocalist give it all in every track, showing an aggressive and powerful attitude with raw harsh mid-high pitched vocals, making the whole combination a pure bomb of headbanging metal.

The album starts with a death metal feeling instrumental track, Mors indecepta, as the evil notes lead to a combo of thrash action where the drums make a remarkable job in perfect harmony with the guitar performance, being a good warm up for Proclaim the gospel of lies, this time death metal guitars riffs explode together with thrash metal drumbeats, awesome fast paced track totally neckbreaking, continued by Baptized in blood and greed, one of the best of the band, as a super fast galloping and furious thrash metal attack, with short and straight vocal shots and changes of pace with astonishing palm muted riffs.

The same headbanging fuel continues with Dysphoric Reality, genuine oldschool thrash that amazingly is transformed in pure death metal at some parts, fast to mid tempo in a good anthem that encapsulates the band spirit.

The acoustic atmosphere surrounds you as the explosion of authentic furious thrash burns your soul with the tittle track, Lobotomized, remarkable guitar play and amazing mid fast drumbeats with added double pedal in an excellent composed structure and followed by another highlight for the band, Lust for hate, included previously in their first EP, the patterns taken here includes death metal drippings under a fast killer thrash fire, but creating a great bridge that leads to one of those chorus to scream and bang the head.

Parasitic life and As we Rot(promises of heaven) follow the same force and even raise up the aggression levels with a more notorious drumbeats in two of the fastest songs of the band that will your necks, special mention to As we Rot, introducing death and growling vocals in a vertiginous fast missile combining successfully all the elements the band have experimented along the album creating an inevitable mosh pit.

Biotoxic Warfare made their point of entry to the main thrash metal scene with Lobotomized, succeeding in terms of crystal clear production with the first album and forging surprisingly good album, if you want thrash metal, with death metal drippings, straight and strong, Lobotomized is what you are looking for.
